Get your event NEXT LEVEL
So, you’re thinking about organizing an event around our Qualifiers? We already set the date but, how do you move on from there? Don’t worry, this is our 10th time doing it and we are more than willing to share our knowledge.
Let’s get you started on your next level event:
Spread the word
We may be stating the obvious here, but: Make sure that your members know you’re organizing an event. Put up our poster (don’t worry if you don’t have one yet, PostNL is probably on it’s way) make a list of registered athletes on the whiteboard and first and foremost upload your logo on our website so we can send over an awesome social media package and an event-checklist.
Know the rules
Read the workout descriptions and watch the workout demo videos before you host the Qualifiers. Anticipate questions and present important information to athletes and judges. Also, read the CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown 2019 Rulebook and encourage your members to do the same.
Use tape or fences to establish lanes, warm-up areas and an area to rest and (and this is important) eat. Make sure everyone is safe. This also counts for spectators. If necessary, give them instructions on where (not) to be.
A great competition day for everyone
Organizing an event around our Qualifiers gives your members the opportunity to get a taste of what a day on the competition floor feels like. Make it a great one by teaching your members how they should approach multiple workouts on one day not feeling beat-up afterwards but walking away proud of their next level performance.
