The CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown will be bigger than ever in history. We are now inviting 480 athletes to our final competition floor. Our main goal this year is to get the top of every division into the finals.
So, what's changed? In previous years athletes could scale in every division. We've chosen to simplify this process and made some changes. If you would like to scale a workout, you register for the Scaled division. Scaling is not failing, right? If you like to do everything RX'd you register for your (age) division of our online qualifiers.
QUALIFYING VIA THE OPEN
For the first time, we are inviting athletes from the CrossFit Open to compete at our finals. The top 10 male and female from the overall CrossFit Open leaderboard, top 5 out of The Netherlands, top 3 out of Belgium and top 2 out of Luxembourg will be invited for the CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown final and do not have to participate in the CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown Qualifier. These athletes will receive their invitation after the CrossFit Open 2020 Leaderboard is finalized.
WHEN ARE YOU ELITE, RX’D OR SCALED?
Which division should you register for during the Online Qualifier?
Elite/RX: If you are able to do bar muscle-ups and workouts with your bodyweight.
Scaled: Just for fun and maybe you’ll do your first bar muscle-up.
During our online qualifier, athletes of the Elite and RX’d divisions are will do the same qualifier workouts. After the Online Qualifier, your ranking on the leaderboard determines your placement in the Elite or RX division. The invited athletes and top athletes from the leaderboard will fill up the 60 spots in the Elite division, the following athletes will fill up the 30 spots in the RX category.
When you end up in the Elite category during the finals you need to be able to do at least 5 bar muscle-ups and workouts with 1.5 times your bodyweight.
The female and male winner of the Elite division from the 2020 CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown final will receive an invitation to compete at the 2020 CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
